Life rebuild Achieved

I have not been as active on writing up on this blog but am still befriending my Syrian Family.  They are my adopted family in my heart forever..Bushra and her Daughters in Belgium, her Sister in Germany and her brother and mother in Turkey. 

I have learned so much through our friendship and experienced much ...from sharing time in Eleonas camp Athens to going in parliament to be a voice for them and learn more about Syria. 

Bushra is doing well building up her beauty business, she not only has gained certificates in competency but now trains others. If you remember she was studying business management before life, dreams, ambition got interrupted by war.

The girls are doing well at school in Ostende and continue to be "professors of Linguistics" using Dutch Arabic English French Turkish German as they get more and more exposure to languages. 

I have not visited Belgium since last March as I have had health issues under the care of Harefield hospital for Sleep Apnoeas and using CPAP Continous Positive Air Pressure on a night when sleeping and for any day time naps ... I have undergone cardiac and respiratory tests and all are fine.  Now 6 months into CPAP support I feel my energy coming back, my muscles and joints improving.. My walking improved with also some very very comfy sketchers shoes my daughter and grandson got me. 

So I hope to be able to visit Bushra again soon.  I wish the present Chancellor would give me a 1954 born woman (as all WASPI women) our Ombudsman compensation ...this I could put to good use for travel. 

I have also found a way round the brexit parcel issue as I can get gifts to the girls through Amazon Belgium .. I am sending educational books in Dutch ..English and French so they have their own bibliotheek.. 😊  Thank you dear followers of this blog for all your interest and support over the years. I will continue to update every now and again ..💞🌹

Impressive School Skating

 🎄🎅⛸⛸🐧 so impressed with the schools in Oostende... in winter lead up to Christmas holidays the classes go skating.  A truly Winter Wonderland experience to not only have fun but build confidence. Celine looks quite at ease on the ice with all her classmates. Lol better than me I only skate Star Trek way .. I Cling on to the side rails ... 🤣

Another great couple of projects the school organised was the children going out together with teachers giving Heart Stickers to the local community.  To tackle loneliness..they wrote and art designed letters to post by hand through letterboxes. 

I am so impressed with the schools and miss visiting Belgium.. My health and funds need improving to plan more visits. I am using CPAP for Sleep Apnoeas and under the care and medical investigations of Harefield hospital. 

There has been another member of the Syrian family in Turkey. I had a videocall introduction to Princess Sugar Sweet when only 8 hours old. She is so so sweet ...💞

Parcel arrived no Brexit charge

A tracked customs declared gift parcel got through to Bushra's shop for  Leen & Celine.. 2 lovely trendy tops from Next Lombardy Shopping Centre Hayes and an illustrated children's book to enhance English reading. Leen fascinates me on her good reading skills with English & Nederlandse. She helps her younger sister Celine. Celine is becoming more confident in speaking English.  But these days we have less times on videocalls. I am unsure when I can visit Belgium again. I start my CPAP treatment for sleep apnoeas with an appointment early October at Harefield. The team say I should feel more energy with improved sleep patterns and improved oxygen sats. So hope I can keep my ability to travel for visits. Plus also need funds to travel-  given still outstanding lost 6 years  State Pension as 1950s born woman & drop in winter fuel payment raised fuel bills - its is tricky being an OAP in UK.   This such a contrast to better pensions in Belgium indeed around EU. I hope one day the girls will be able to visit me here in London. 

The book I sent is a good read as it very cleverly brings in how to create a garden for our insects & pollinators. I got this from Waterstones in Lombardy Centre Hayes.

Bushra's bracelet a talking point

Bushra's birthday gift to me from her Beauty store when I visited in March, as become quite a talking point. I wear it all the time and folk comment on how they like it. Yesterday in the Brunel University Engaging & networking day the bracelet became a talking point with some attendees and they were fascinated by my Family Link Up  project.. So happy Bushra rebuilt her life in Oostende. Always a fascination with the language skills of her daughters Princesses Leen & Celine when I tell folk how quickly they learn and use many languages  ..💞check out my tik tok and also Bushra's promotion tik tok of more bracelets.

Success post

Good my last letterbox post of Maths and activity book got through to my Princesses in Oostende with no Brexit customs ..so spotted these fun sticker and activity books in Ruislip department store which they will love being trendy girly model ..So going to post letterbox size mail to them again. Its a sort of proxy Grandma thing of sending treats as part of my love connection.
